More About Me

Some of this information is quite out of date at this point.  I will no longer update this page but I will leave it up for posterity.

Hi,  I know there is a link to my google+ profile on the right side of this blog; it however can only tell you a little bit about me.  Here is some more information for you to peruse at your leisure.

Interests:
There are way to many to even list off, some of my more notable interests include astronomy, music, electronics, swimming, etc.

Education:
I will be finishing up my first undergraduate degree this coming year: Physics!  After this year I will be transferring schools and  working on my aerospace engineering degree.  I hope to one day be an aerospace engineer!

Projects
I am currently working on a few small projects some of which will eventually make it onto this blog.  A few of them deal with homemade electronics, while others are a combination of electronics and carpentry.

Employment:
Wisconsin Department of Transportation
Engineering Technician in the the material testing lab -  I test the properties of materials going onto state-run projects (concrete, steel, aggregate, and asphalt).

Phillips Planetarium
I give presentations on various topics in astronomy twice a week to the public.  I really love this job, I enjoy learning about astronomy and with giving public talks I feel that I can give back to the community and hopefully spark an interest in science with some of the kids that come to these shows.

Music
Music is a big part of my life. I listen to as much music as possible at anytime I can squeeze it in my day.  The music I listen to needs to make me feel something.  This could be anything from just feeling the "beat" to causing my emotions/mood to intensify or change.  My favorite genres are rock and electronic including most of the sub-genres.
